Even though we were missing several runners due to Fall Break travels, the CCHS Cross Country team finished the regular season with a bang. Check out all these athletes who earned a Top Finisher shirt in today's race! Next up is the Middle School State meet on Tuesday, and then Varsity competes at Super Regionals on 10/23. Cross Country had another amazing race at the South Pontotoc Invitational this morning. Braxton Luke and Will Goff won Top Finishers in the Varsity Boys 5K. The team continues to improve with each race as every single runner earned another PR today. Way to get things done, Chargers!
SFC Levi Crider, National Guard, spoke to all CCR classes. He answered questions about basic training, job assignments, what it is like to live on base, the difference between active and reserve duties, and many other questions that students had. Students learned what each badge meant on SFC Crider’s uniform and now can look at military men/women in uniform and understand where they have been and what they have earned. SFC Crider even brought military gear for the students to try on and made MRE’s for the class to try. Students were engaged in learning about the military while having fun with hands on military knowledge.

Thank you to CB&S bank in Sturgis and Reianna Barron for our breakfast this morning! We really enjoyed the homemade cinnamon rolls and fruit trays.
Competing against 17 schools and nearly 500 other athletes, the CCHS Cross Country team showed out at the Saltillo Invitational on Saturday. Lyza Neal won her 3rd Top Finisher shirt for the season, and every Varsity runner, boys and girls, ran their fastest time of the year. Way to go, team! You've made your coach immensely proud.
Choctaw County Speech Teachers enjoyed attending and learning new techniques and strategies at the Mississippi conference.
