Congratulations to the talented members of the Pride of Choctaw County Band and Choctaw County Choir who are continuing their performing arts journey at the collegiate level!

We are proud to recognize the following students for earning scholarships to perform in college:

Band: Keyshawn Miller, Shunija Coffey, Serenity Conner (not pictured), Kaylin Chaney (not pictured), and Emma Weeks (not pictured)
Choir: Olivia Alashti, Kelsey Fulgham, Azaria McGee, Ca'Lasian Fair, Ava Talley, and Raynee Lucas

Choctaw County has long been known for its strong music programs. These students are a testament to the dedication of our directors, the commitment of our families, and the hard work of the performers themselves.

To current and future students: your journey in band or choir can open doors you may not even see yet. Stay committed, keep growing, and take pride in being part of something bigger.

We were honored to have TFC Clay Flake from the Mississippi Highway Patrol and Mercetia Jenkins from the MS Department of Rehabilitation Services speak with our Juniors and Seniors today. They shared important insights on making responsible choices before, during, and after prom this weekend. Their message was clear and impactful: P.R.O.M – Please Return On Monday.

We appreciate them taking the time to invest in our students’ safety and future. Let’s all work together to ensure a fun, memorable, and safe prom season!
